What Was I Thinking?!

Today I went to Wal-Mart.....during the day..............on a Saturday................8 months pregnant.........and tired.   I will never do that again.  I seriously thought I was going to take someone out.  I also made a promise to myself, that if my child is screaming bloody murder...........for 20 minutes straight...........I will leave my cart in the store and go home.  I will not make the rest of the population suffer the way we all had to today.  It was terrible.  I was so crabby by the time I got home from dealing with people who are not courteous of others, the screaming child, the crowded aisles; although it was Wal-Mart and I should have expected it, it was still completely intolerable.  So never again will I go to Wal-Mart on a Saturday during the day. Ever.

New Beginnings

Tonight Bryan and I had plans to go to dinner with Lauren (sis-in-law) and Eric (Lauren's boyfriend).  We found out earlier in the week that Skip (father-in-law) was coming in town on Thursday night and when he comes in town that usually means some type of family dinner so we knew our plans of the four of us for dinner were going to be changed.  So, it ended up that we were all going to have dinner at Eric's parents house, which is where he is staying while his new house is being built.
We met over there at around 6:30 and found out.......Lauren and Eric got engaged earlier in the day!!!!  Bryan and I are so excited for them.  They are thinking of planning a November or December 2010 wedding, which I personally love because that gives me plenty of time to lose the baby weight.  I can't wait to start planning showers and bachelorette parties and helping with wedding plans.  Mine and Bryan's wedding was such a special day that we look back on with great fondness that we are always happy when two people who are so perfect for each other like Eric and Lauren take this step.
So, we had a great night with the Traughber's and the Reinhold's celebrating the upcoming marriage of Eric and Lauren.  We also got lots of guesses on whether we are going to have a boy or a girl.  And if I am keeping track right, more people are thinking we are having a boy.  Either way, we can't wait to see what it ends up being.

Baby Class - Week 5

Tonight at  baby class we learned about newborn care.  So this entailed what we were going to need to do with this little peanut when it comes home with us.  By the end of class we had bathed, changed diapers, done cord care, and used a bulb syringe on our baby.  This part was very interesting for Bryan since he hasn't really been around newborns.  The interesting part for me was feeding and talking about breastfeeding vs. bottle.  Bryan was not very interested in this.
Next week is our last class, I can't believe 6 weeks have gone by already!  We are having a pediatrician come to talk to us at class and answer any questions we have.  Time to get our list ready. :)

The Third Trimester - The End of the 7th Month

"Life is always a rich and steady time when you are waiting for something to happen or to hatch" - E.B. White, Charlotte's Web
As I starting my 8th month here is a reflection of my 7th month.

THE HOME STRETCH!

My wishes for my last trimester include:  a smooth ride for mommy and baby as baby gets bigger and ready to survive in the world, my energy to keep up, and to be prepared.

I am most looking forward tobaby showers, a bigger belly which means a bigger, healthy baby, childbirth classes, and watching our house turn into a home for Baby T.

I am most nervous about:  morning sickness coming back and going into labor early.  I am not nervous about labor itself, just going earlier than Baby T is ready for.

I am least excited: about not being able to do all I am used to getting done in one day and if I am unprepared.  Bryan starting back up with school and not being home as much to help me, and more lack of sleep.

I think the biggest change in the final trimester will be:  all the physical restrictions that have started to happen.  It is so hard to bend over and to not run out of breath walking up the stairs, my feet hurt all the time, and sleep is so hard to come by these days.

How I plan to relax before my due date:  have the entire house cleaned and organized from top to bottom before the start of the ninth month (yes cleaning and organizing are relaxing for me), get as much rest as I can, and lots of foot, back and neck rubs from Bryan.

Holy Hormones Batman

I am presently a crazy pregnant hormonal mess.  It started last night when I laid down to go to sleep.  As soon as I FINALLY got comfortable I just started crying.  I don't know what came over me and I am pretty sure I freaked Bryan out, but I just kept right on crying.  All I could think was I am so tired of being hugely pregnant, I have a skinned knee of which I have not had since I was probably 12, I wish it didn't take me approximately 5 minutes to get in bed and another 15 to get out of bed, I am tired of having to get up 36 times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and then not having much time left at work I need to get everything together to brain dump to my co-workers and finish getting the house ready, along with everything else that runs through my mind.
I finally got myself calmed down and fell asleep, but when I woke up this morning I wasn't feeling well, and I am pretty sure my first trimester nausea and sickness are coming back as I have been fighting it for the last week or so.  Today was by far the worst since I started feeling the sickness coming on, so that was disheartening, which then started the tears again!  On and off throughout the day the tears just kept coming and going for no reason.
So, now I sit here and have finally gotten myself under control for the most part.  My husband is finally home and I am ready to call it a night and try again tomorrow.

Baby Shower

Today was my first baby shower!  Bryan came along to the shower as well and finally got to see what happens at showers.  Jan (my mother-in-law) and Lauren (sis-in-law) put together an extraordinary shower.  It was animal themed very similar to our nursery with the cutest cake ever.
And it was very yummy with matching cookie favors for everyone to take home.  All the centerpieces were rolled up diapers held together with ribbon and a different type of safari animal and baby spoon and washcloth lollipops.  We got so many great things for Baby T; we are truly blessed.

This was one of the homemade gifts we received.  It is a beautiful quilt that Denise made.  It has the softest material on the back and the quilt design and stitching are awesome!  It will go so great in Baby T's crib.
These are handpainted pictures that match our bedding set that Mary Beth made for us.  It is so amazing!  They look professional.
Jan and Lauren got me a Coach diaper bag!  I couldn't believe and was so touched by thier generosity that I started crying.  Then the next gift I opened came from my family....
The magic hanky and then a big bag with Bryan's diaper  bag filled with a bunch of different gifts including four different Beatles onesies.
Grandma Margaret got us our high chair, too, so now Baby T has somewhere to eat with Mommy and Daddy.
So, as I said, we were truly blessed by everyone's generosity and were so happy for everyone that could come out and make it.
Of course, as soon as I got home I went through every gift and found the perfect place for it in the nursery, put together the high chair, the rocker, and put up the new baby gate and washed all the new clothes, blankets, socks, onesies, washcloths, etc and folded and put them away while Bryan went to his fantasy football draft.  I was in heaven!   Bryan loved the way the nursery looks as it becomes more and more like a place for a tiny little peanut.  All we are missing is Baby T!

Do The Busy Weekends Ever Stop?!

Today we had the DeSmet Alumni run, which went off without a hitch except for when I fell UP the stairs of the bleachers.  I really can't say what happened, but I do have a skinned knee, scraped and bruised arm and shoulder and scraped up fingers.  Not to mention my bruised ego.  I was so embarrassed!  All the moms of the current season runners, jumped up and the boys kind of freaked out.  I know they were all concerned, but I was so embarrassed.  I popped up as quickly as an 8 month preggers could and said, "I'm ok, don't worry about me" and hurried up the rest of the stairs.  I tried to busy myself with the task I was running up the stairs to complete in the first place and was doing fine, until Bryan came running up and asking what happened.  The only thing I could get out was that I was pregnant, so I am clumsy, and I fell.  Then he kept insisting I needed band-aids, which I did, but I became so overwhelmed with hormones that I just wanted to sit in a corner and cry.  We went into the pressbox where he bandaged me up and I cried a little and then we went back to work.  I still can't believe I did that!
After the Alumni run I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things we needed at the house and ingredients for Strawberry Poppyseed salad that we were taking to our friends house for a BBQ later that night.  I kept hoping people wouldn't look at my scratched up arms and legs and haggard looking self (I mean my hair was an absolute mess as well as my clothes) and ask me if I needed a safe place to go.
Later we went to a BBQ with friends of ours that Bryan went to high school with.  We had so much fun.  There were 9 kids there running around with the oldest being 4 followed by a 3 year old and then we just go down from there.  Two of us were pregnant, me with my first and Shannon with her third, and a 1 month old.  So the dads sat outside and drank beer and watched the older kids play in the yard, while the moms stayed inside and got the food ready and made kids plates and then got to sit around and talk about kids, pregnancy and labor and reality TV.  We were home by 9pm, which is just fine with us.
All in all it was a great day that started off a little rough, but ended quite nicely.

Just Too Darn Hot!

I love the sunshine, but this is ridiculous.  This heat is so unbearable and it still would be even if I wasn't a walking furnace cooking a baby.  Tonight is the first game of the Cards/Cubs series and I was so excited to go to the game, until on the radio they stated with the heat index the temperature was 109 degrees.  I told Bryan he should probably start calling people to find someone to go to the game with him because I don't think sitting in the bleachers in the sun was the place for me to be.
In between the workday and the Cards game Bryan and I went to Sam's to buy food for the DeSmet Alumni run that is being held tomorrow.  We had so much food and one of the trays of cookies we had on the bottom of the cart slid off and as we stopped to rearrange everything so it wouldn't happen again one of the guys handing out free samples asked me if I was craving the cookies or the hamburgers.  I told him both.
Shortly after we got home and unloaded everything, Barnhart came by to get Bryan and they headed off to the game leaving me in peace in the nice cool air conditioning.  The doggies and I watched the game from the couch and caught up on some work.  I wish I could have been at the game, but Bryan called a couple times to check in and said it was pretty miserable, so I guess the air conditioning isn't so bad.

Babies!!!

Today was our 4th week of Childbirth class.   We attend class at St. John's since that is where we will be delivering Baby T.  We are signed up for a six week class that combines childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care, so the first four weeks we were focused on childbirth.  Tonight we had a "test" on different breathing patterns during the various stages of labor and "delivered" our baby.  I wish it was that easy.  I only pushed a few times and it didn't even hurt!  We also took a tour of the labor and delivery floor as well as the postpartum floor.  While on the postpartum floor we got see at least 5 babies.  They were all so cute and tiny!  I am so ready for our peanut to be here.  I am really glad that we did these classes.  Bryan and I both feel so much more prepared on how to handle things, whatever may come.  Part of this I know is because of our teacher, Kathy, and I know I mentioned before how wonderful she is.  We really got lucky.  On her recommendation we also signed up for another class, "Happiest Baby on The Block".  It deals with more in depth newborn care and how to help them adjust to life outside the womb and is based on a book.  I already get Parents magazine delivered to my house and I have noticed they have referred to this book several times in articles in a positive matter, so we figured we might as well give it a whirl.  The only thing, is it is such a popular course and they only hold it once a month, so the first opening was 10/10/2010.  My due date is 10/12/2010 for those of you who don't know, so this could be touch and go.  Next week in class we will start newborn care and we get to bathe and diaper our babies and learn how to feed, etc.  I think Bryan is really excited about this part, because he wants to be totally prepared.  I am not too worried about him, he's going to be a great dad!  I just have to remember that no matter how he diapers and feeds the baby, if its not the EXACT way I do it, it's okay as long as the baby is clean with a full belly and happy.  If I keep this in mind we will be a great parenting team.

Cards Baseball

Tonight I got to do one of the things I love....entertain.  Our friend Matt was all alone this week as his wife and kids were at the lake, so Bryan had him and a couple of his other friends over to watch the Cardinals game.  I had already taken meat out to defrost for dinner so I just doubled the recipe and cooked for all the boys.  I am such a people person and the simple task of cooking for our friends just tickles me so much, that I was in heaven.  The guys always like to tease me when they come over to hang out and watch the game with Bryan because I never sit down.  I am always either cooking, cleaning, or taking care of something.    This has got to be from the Inman in me as I feel  a lot like Aunt Pammie who just hustles and bustles around all the time, regardless if I worked all day or not.  To me, this isn't work.  Never fear though, I do and did tonight still find time to sit down and enjoy some of the game and our company.  I can't miss our Cardinals!

Brady Christian Earnhart

Today was Brady's baptism.  I can't believe he is almost 2 months old!  Bryan and I missed the baptism, but for good reason.  We got to stay behind at Steve and Christine's to watch Jackson, although we didn't do a whole lot of watching as he was napping most of the time.
The first time he woke up Bryan and I walked into his bedroom and Jax wanted nothing to do with Auntie and quickly reached his arms up for Uncle Bryan to pick him up once he spotted him.  Then it was so cute to watch Jax snuggle up to Bryan while he tried to decide if he wanted to really wake up or fall back asleep.  I just stood there watching and thinking how I can't wait until its our little peanut that is snuggling up to Bryan.  It won't be long now.  After a bit, Jackson wanted to go back in his crib, so we set him down and he switched out his pacifiers (he has one in each corner of his crib) and grabbed his "lovie" and laid back down.  I stayed in his room for a few minutes rubbing his back and he was back to sleep.  Easy enough.
The second time he woke up, he was ready to go.  So we got up and changed his diaper and read some books until he was ready to move to the living room.  Just as we finished having some juice and started to play with his baseball set, Mommy and Daddy returned with the newly baptised Brady and the rest of the family.
We had great food and it was so nice to see everyone.  After Brady opened all his presents we headed out as Bryan and I were very tired from our late night last night.
Thanks Steve and Christine for a great party.

Back to School Bash and 10 Year High School Reunion

Today is a jammed pack day with a DeSmet Back to School Party for the coaches at the Stewart's house and then my 10 year High School Reunion.
So, the morning starts off a little off schedule and then get thrown off even more as Bryan has realized that he "lost" his wallet.  This is a whole other issue in itself as we are constantly trying to find where he has laid down either his wallet, phone, keys or all three.  Well today they were no where in the house or car, so he had to drive all the way to DeSmet as well as Subway which were the last two places he remember having his wallet.  He eventually found it at DeSmet and we were finally on our way to the pool party.  It was really great getting to see all the DeSmet crew and chatting with everyone as well as having some great food.....the Steiners brought party potatoes, so of course I was in heaven!  We left at about 4:30 and I had to do some skilled Nascar driving to get us home in time for Bryan to grab his dry cleaning ticket and get to the cleaners before 5 so that he could pick up his clothes to wear tonight for the reunion.  Luckily he arrived at 4:59 and they gave him his clothes.

Before the reunion Bryan and I met up with Shayna and Aaron at Mike Shannon's for a drink (water for me) since the reunion was at the Ballpark Hilton.  Then we met up with Matt and Kim and headed up to the party.  It was so nice to see everyone but I was a little disappointed with our class.  We graduated with almost 500 kids and there was maybe 150 total at the reunion and that includes spouses.  But all in all it was great to see everyone that was there and reconnect with peope I have not seen in years.  After the reunion we headed over to The Dubliner and continued the after party.  Little preggers party animal that I am stayed out until 2am!  About halfway through the night I got a second wind so I figured I would just go with it.  All in all the night was fun, but I still wouldn't want to go back to high school.  I love my life now and can't wait for my family to grow!

Big Brother

I love this show!  It is Bryan and I's guilty pleasure.  Every Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday we anxiously await for it to come on to see who will win HOH, or the POV or get voted out.  I do have to say I am so excited that Matt is HOH and I hope that he puts up Rachel and Brendon and that Rachel goes home.  I can not tolerate her anymore and if you watch the show I am sure you know what I am talking about.  I do however LOVE, LOVE, LOVE listening to Britney in her diary room sessions.  She is too funny with her little jabs and statements.  If you don't watch I highly suggest you pick it up.  The best time to watch would be to start on a Thursday when someone is voted out and a new HOH is revealed.  It will make it a lot easier to follow.

30 Week Appointment and Baby Class

Today I had my 30 week prenatal appointment.  I can't belive I have 10 weeks to go!  Because my doctor is in a group practice I have to also meet the other doctors in the practice in case they are the ones that have to deliver Baby T.  Last visit I had my third ultrasound and also met one of the other doctors in the practice.  I wasn't very happy with her and felt as though I was being rushed through the appointment.  Now, I may be biased toward my doctor, but she just really didn't sit well with me, so I was very excited to see Dr. Super (yes, that is his real name) today, because Bryan and I had lots we wanted to talk to him about.
Dr. Super walks into the exam room in such a great mood everytime and it just always puts me at ease.  We started with the normal measurement of my belly and listening to the heartbeat.  We determined the baby is still head down with its butt at my stomach and "those must be arms and legs that keep poking you over here" that I kept asking about.  Bryan was amazed that Dr. Super could tell what was where just by pushing on my belly.  Then we went through our list of questions which today ranged from, how was the ultrasound last time because the doctor I had was not very talkative regarding that or anything for that matter except to tell me that, in my opinion, I was fat.  Dr. Super confirmed Baby T is doing great, growth is great, fluid is great, placenta is in a good spot, and no I am not gaining too much weight.  He said he has had patients that have lost a total of 2 pounds (uhh..hello, how do I sign up for that?) and patients that have gained 100 pounds and that his wife gained around 60 lbs and was just as active as I am and ate well. Some people just gain more weight than others for whatever reason.  So, that was encouraging.  We also talked a little more about labor and delivery and what is to come.  I just love having my appointments with him and I know Bryan does, too because we leave feeling so informed and so great about this pregnancy.

Tonight we also had another baby class.  Today we learned about c-sections and epidurals.  My loving husband apologized in the middle of class for labor and delivery having to be so hard on me.  However, he also stated after watching the video of a woman getting an epidural, "I don't think I want you to get that" because of the large needle.  I think the hardest part for him is going to be seeing me in pain and him not being able to do anything about it, other than trying to keep me calm and as comfortable as possible.  Really as long as he is there with me, that will help keep things tolerable.

Magic Wok

Yesterday I met up with Amanda, a fellow lover of all things Chinese, especially when a buffet is involoved, at Magic Wok on Lindbergh.  I had been looking forward to this lunch for a while so I was very excited for good food and great conversation with a wonderful friend.  We had a great time, the only problem, was of course I overate and felt like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when she turns into the blueberry and has to be rolled down to the juicer.  We had lunch at noon and I didn't eat anything for the rest of the day until about 11pm when I started getting a little hungry and decided to have a handful of Multigrain Cheerios (yum!) and a glass of juice before bed.  The other negative was the salt from the chinese food coupled with the heat of the day made my ankles disappear and my feet swell to double their size.  Oh the joys of pregancy! :)  Have no fear though tiny Chinamen....I still love your food and will continue to crave your yummy goodness!

What a fast 5 months!

There is so much that has happened and I know you all know basically what has gone on since my last post in March.  Of course, as I blogged that post, I knew I was pregnant and hinted that at the end of our wedding album the family was told of our "little" surprise, which is that Bryan and I are pregnant with our first child.  So exciting!  Here is a brief synopsis of how everything has gone down so far:
FIRST TRIMESTER:
Our first doctor's visit with Dr. Super was at around 7 1/2 weeks.  Bryan was a hoot when they told me to put on the gown and the doctor would be in shortly.  I started to undress and he did not understand that I was to put the paper "dress" on once I disrobed.  He asked, "so am I just gonna sit in this chair while you sit on the table naked?!"  Too funny!  Once Dr. Super came in we chatted and then he examined me and said everything looked great, so great in fact, that he wanted an ultrasound to make sure there was not twins on the way!  The next statement from my husband was, "Twins!  Where are we going to put two babies?!"  To which I replied, "Where am I going to put two babies!" (as I pointed to my body).  We have a three bedroom house, there is plenty of room there."  During the ultrasound we got to hear the most beautiful sound in the world, our babies heartbeat.  Then we say just one little peanut in my belly and it is the most gorgeous peanut ever!  Everything looked good, we were measuring at about 8 1/2 weeks instead of 7 1/2 and we were sent home and told to call back on a Tuesday to make approximately 58 appointments with the doctor from between now and when the baby is due because apparantly when  you become pregnant you spend all your time at your OBs office.  As time when on I learned some things:
They (the writer's of all things about pregnancy) are liars when they say you may experience morning sickness.  I did not experience morning sickness.  I experienced morning, afternoon, night, early morning, all the time sickness.  It was nothing for me to wake up at 2 in the morning to run to the bathroom and throw up.  Have no fear, though, a majority of the time this happened my darling husband was never woken up from his slumber.
I may be able to keep good control of my weight gain since I don't feel like eating anything and when I do eat something it typically comes right back up.
I have never experience a tiredness like this before in my life.  It never fails, 2pm rolls around and I am TIRED.  I am talking bone tired, must close my eyes and nap or the rest of the day will be very bad.
Trying to continue to train for a half marathon is not a good idea when I am tired all the time and can't keep anything down long enough to really fuel my body.

SECOND TRIMESTER:
This is supposed to be the "honeymoon" trimester.  The first few weeks I didn't believe it.  I was still a little sick, but I was able to start eating.
At 15 weeks, I ran the St. Louis GO! 1/2 marathon.  It was very empowering, running this pregnant, although my time was slow.  Due to my sickness during my training the farthest distance I ran was 4 miles during training.  At the race I ended up running 10 of the 13 miles, which I think is pretty good.  I stopped at every water station and took in a cup of water and gatorade, which then lead to me stopping at every potty station as well.  Daddy Bryan ran with me the entire time and we still laugh about how he wasn't even breaking a sweat and everyone kept telling him to keep it up and that he could do it.  Once finished I couldn't wait to get home and shower and rest and we were going to go to our friends house for a BBQ, but once I laid down, I couldn't get back up and didn't get back up until the next morning when it was time for work.  I seriously laid in my bed from 11am until 7am the next morning!
As time went on, I began to start wanting to eat and keep food down.  So I ate.  And I ate.  And I ate.  And my 2.5lbs that I gained in the first trimester quickly began to grow.  I felt huge although people still couldn't tell I was pregnant.  I would go to Babies R Us and feel jealous of the mommies walking around with thier big baby bellies or thier newborns.
At 20 weeks we had our ultrasound and the baby looked good.  We measured in the 97th percentile though so Dr. Super changed our due date from the 15th to the 12th.  We were told at our 26 week visit we will have to have another ultrasound because our peanut was folded in a yoga pose sitting comfortably down low in my pelvis and they couldn't get the third view of the spine.  Nothing was wrong, they just like to have it in the chart.  Fine by me. Another ultrasound, another chance to see my baby....yes, please!  Also, because of the postion we would not be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl.  As most of you know, this was fine with Bryan and I because we are not finding out what we are having until Baby T's Birthday anyway.
We also went to Disney World at 20 weeks and had a blast.  Although I couldn't ride any rides, people started noticing I was pregnant and that was a great feeling!  We got little golden books for Baby T, since we have all of Bryan's from when he was a kid, and Grandma bought a baby dumbo and baby pooh for the room as well.
Father's Day weekend we bought the crib and officially changed the "Cardinal" room to the "Nursery"  Daddy did a great job putting the crib together and the set looks great!  We arranged all the furniture and hung shelves on the wall.
At our 26 week ultrasound all was still well with a heartbeat at 143 and we have moved to the head down position and our measuring at the 76 percentile now.  Baby T kept kicking at the ultrasound and so we got a leg measurement and we have nice long legs according to Ann, the sonographer.

THIRD TRIMESTER:
It seemed as soon as week 28 hit I began to start slowing down.  I am getting tired a lot easier and my belly is getting bigger and bigger.
We started childbirth classes and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our instructor, Kathy Orf.  So far we have learned how to breath and go to a relaxing place, push, and Bryan has learned how to give hand, back and head massages.
We have started putting the finishing touches on the decorations for the babies room.  We added a tree decal and the decals that match the bedding on the wall.  It looks so cute!
At 30 weeks today, I can't believe we only have 10 more weeks to wait to meet our little beautiful bundle.  I am preparing for my showers and I can't wait to share this joy with everyone.

So, that's the catch up in a nutshell.  I will try to be more up to date with the last 10 weeks.  These are goinig to be monumentous ones as we count down to the arrival of Baby Traughber.

Birthday Wishes, Anniversary Dreams

As most of you know, Wednesday the 10th was my 28th birthday.  I was  blessed with numerous birthday wishes starting early in the morning which struck a very emotional chord with me leading me to cry for a good chunk of the morning.  Lunch was a great trip with Shayna to one of our favorite dining establishments...Long John Silver's.  I finished my "normal" workday and headed to the Y for cheerleading practice where I was greeted by "Happy Birthday Miss Liz" from all my girls.  Then at the end of practice they all sang "Happy Birthday" to me.  Once home I got my birthday present from Bryan, new running shoes and socks.  I have been wanting new shoes for months, so although it may seem strange, I was very excited with my gift.  All in all it was a good night.

Sunday the 14th was our one year wedding anniversary.  We first celebrated on Saturday with mom and dad, aunt Debbie and Uncle Steve Dopuch, Nicky, Melissa, Alex, Olivia, Cousin Gayle, JJ and Brendon.  We had snacks and cupcakes and cookie cake.  Alex even made me special cupcakes that looked like Penquins, since I love penquins!  Bryan and I also got to show everyone our wedding album that had a special surprise at the end that everyone loved.  After the party Bryan took me to a special place for my birthday and we got ice cream.  I can't say where...it's a special place.

On Sunday I had cheerleading practice and Bryan had track practice.  When we both got home we went to Trailhead Brewery for dinner.  It was wonderful.  Bryan loves to drink different kinds of  beers, so the fact that it is a microbrewery was heaven for him.  I loved it because they have hot pretzels with nacho cheese.  Yum!  When we got home we cut a piece of our year old wedding cake.  It actually wasn't bad; not very moist, but still edible.  We ended the night with me going to bed early.  Not very exciting, I know.   However, it was just perfect for us.  We know we don't need fancy gifts to show each other we care.  We just needed to make time and enjoy it with each other, which we did and pretty much do every time we spend time together.

So, here's to another birthday down and my first wedding anniversary.
